While visiting the US for Prince William’s Earthshot Prize ceremony 2022, the Princess of Wales had a secret meeting with Prince Harry. According to reports, she carved out a few portions of time from her busy schedule to meet her niece and nephew. This was possible as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were only a couple of hour’s drive away.
The Duchess of Cambridge is known for her love for children. Apart from loving and cherishing her own three little kids, she also takes care of other children through charities. Prince Harry had been “on board” with the idea according to a source.
Kate Middleton’s Private Meeting with Lilibet and Archie
Recently, on one of the days of her visit to the US for the 2022 Earthshot Prize ceremony in Boston, Kate Middleton also made a secret visit to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s two children. Since the Sussexes were only a couple of hours of drive away, Middleton did not miss the chance to meet their little ones Archie and Lilibet. Despite the busy schedules, the Princess of Wales’ love for her niece and nephew made her contact her brother-in-law. As per International Business Times, a source shared,
“Regardless of what has happened in the past with Harry and Meghan, Kate desperately wanted to have a visit with their children,”
Further, the source also added that the Duchess of Cambridge did not get much time to spend with Lilibet. She had been sad about it, so when Middleton got the chance, she seized it quickly. According to New Idea, their sources claimed that the mother of three contacted Prince Harry asking if they could meet. He was “on board” with the idea to have a secret meeting between his children and their royal aunt! The insider said, “At the end of the day, Harry loves Kate, and feels his kids deserve to know her.”
This is not surprising as Kate Middleton is known for loving children deeply. And the fact that Prince Harry also used to be quite close with his sister-in-law during their time at the royal palace, it doesn’t come as a surprise.
Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Visit to The US
After 8 years, Prince William and Kate Middleton made another visit to the US. The Prince and Prince of Wales arrived in Boston for the 2022 Earthshot Prize ceremony. The venue was Boston’s MGM Music hall. Earthshot Prize is the brainchild of Prince William. It recognizes, supports, and accelerates solutions for the environmental issues on earth. This year it was held on the 2nd of December. 2022 was the second year for this prize ceremony.
The whole US visit was for three days. Before the event, Prince William and Kate Middleton were welcomed by mayor Michelle Wu. They made a visit to the venue beforehand. And if it is to be believed, the three-day visit had been a busy one for the royal couple.
