Actor Rupert Grint retired from the Harry Potter series after being a part of eight projects from 2001 to 2011. He never chose to come back to the world of lights, cameras, and actions. During an interview with a reputed media outlet, Rupert Grint reflected back on his journey with the franchise and even spoke about his objective behind gifting strange gifts to his co-stars.

During an interview with the famous entertainment platform Collider, Rupert Grint spoke about multiple things. The actor in his thirties loves gifting his co-stars, but the kind of gifts he prefers to give is always unusual. From owning a grand ice cream van to surprising his friends with strange gifts- the Harry Potter star is a bit different from his co-actors. The ABC Murders star never waits for any birthday or any special occasion, instead, he is a random gift giver.

During the wrap-up party of the Harry Potter franchise, Rupert Grint gifted trumpets to his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. During the interview he was asked about any specific reason behind gifting trumpets, the actor had zero idea.

The Harry Potter franchise’s Deathly Hallow’s both the parts were filmed in the same year and they were asked to shoot for 263 days. While recalling the long duration of the shoot, Rupert Grint said-

“Yeah, it was long, it did feel long. It was really confusing as well because we did both parts together and I regularly kind of didn’t know what was going on.”

Based on reputed author J.K. Rowling’s book, the Harry Potter franchise has been one of the most commercially successful franchises in the world.

Harry Potter Star Rupert Grint On Working With His Co-Stars Emma Watson And Daniel Radcliffe

During an interview with Collider in 2010, the Wild Target actor Rupert Grint was asked about his bond with Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. He went on to speak about how three of them evolved on the sets of Harry Potter. The actor said-

“It felt really cool actually, it was something quite different. They’ve kind of had little arguments before, but nothing on this kind of scale, this was quite serious. Yeah, it was shocking to see this kind of aggression in all of them, it’s not something we’ve seen before. So yeah, it was really cool.”

Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, and Emma Watson have been together for over a decade. Rupert Grint spoke about how quickly time passed and they grew up suddenly. The actor mentioned-

“I don’t know, I mean they kind of haven’t changed much—I think we’re all kind of the same people. I mean, obviously, physically we’ve changed quite dramatically. But yeah, it’s weird, I only really notice kind of how long it’s been when I look at the early films and see the difference. Apart from that, it kind of just happened quite quickly.”

In the Harry Potter franchise, Rupert Grint was paired with Emma Watson. While talking about Ron’s character and how he ends up being jealous of Hermione and Harry, he said-

“Yeah, it’s always quite cool to—I mean in this one it takes the form of a lot jealousy I think, on Ron’s part, cause he sees Harry and Hermione getting quite close. I think it’s not until Part 2 where we see that develop more. But yeah, it should be cool.”
