Marvel Studios recently teased an upcoming animated project after the success of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever; Eyes of Wakanda. Marvel Studios head of streaming, television, and animation Brad Winderbaum who appeared at an event recently to promote the upcoming season of What If?, revealed the surprise for the audience.

According to reports, the animated series that is said to explore the long history of Wakandan warriors, could also explain some unanswered questions from different MCU movies that are trace their steps back to the nation of Wakanda. For example, how did Tony Strak’s father Howard Stark manage to acquire vibranium for Captain America’s shield, how was he allowed to keep it, or give the audience backstory for Ulysses Klaue.

Apart from an overview, the storyline of Eyes of Wakanda is still under wraps but what is confirmed is that Ryan Coogler will be directly involved in developing the project. The director is currently under a multi-year overall TV deal with the Walt Disney Company through his Proximity Media Banner. Along with that, Coogler knows the nation of Wakanda better than anyone else so it’ll be interesting to see how he is involved in developing the project.
