Sam Asghari Does Not Want Victor Wembanyama to Get into Trouble After His Security Guard Assaulted Britney Spears: “The blame should fall on the coward who did this”
Britney Spears has experienced a lot in her personal and professional lives. Spears experienced enormous success when she was very young. She rose to fame and even had a public breakdown that affected her life. She was under a conservatorship for 13 years. The singer finally got her freedom, and she went on to marry Sam Asghari. The duo has been in the spotlight due to their various issues, but Asghari has always supported the pop star.
A recent incident has brought the couple into the limelight, as the Hold Me Closer singer was allegedly assaulted by NBA star Victor Wembanyama’s security official. Post the incident Spears filed a complaint with Metropolitan Police Department. Law enforcement is handling the case as a criminal investigation, and it may be referred to the District Attorney’s Office. However, the Iranian-American model recently took to his social media to bash the security guard who assaulted his wife.
Sam Asghari lashed out after Britney Spears’ assault incident
Britney Spears filed a complaint that she had been struck by a security officer protecting NBA rookie Victor Wembanyama in Las Vegas. The incident occurred when the Toxic singer and her husband, Sam Asghari, were having dinner at the Aria Hotel. The pop sensation saw San Antonio Spurs’ No. 1 draft pick and wanted to take a photo with him. When Spears tapped Wembanyama on the shoulder, Damian Smith, the Spurs’ director of team security, allegedly shoved her striking the singer in the face and forcing her to fall to the ground.
Post the incident Asghari lashed out at NBA star’s security guard as he took to his Instagram to express his anger. The Circus songwriter’s husband wrote, “I am opposed to violence in any form, especially without justification in the defense of yourself or someone else who is unable to defend themselves.”
He added,
“Self-defense can be unavoidable, but the defense of any woman, especially my wife, is not debatable. I consider my reaction subdued considering what occurred, and I hope the man in question learns a lesson and changes his disregard for women. Thank you for the support.”
The pop star’s hubby in a since-deleted Insta story commented on how this incident should not cast a shadow on the NBA star’s career. He said,
“The blame should fall on the coward who did this, the people who hired him without proper vetting, and a systemic culture of disregard for women within sports and entertainment. I can’t imagine a scenario where an unarmed female fan showing any kind of excitement or appreciation for a celebrity would cause her to be physically assaulted, much less being hit in the face for tapping someone on the shoulder.”
Britney Spears’s husband demanded a change. Later, Smith apologized to the famous singer, saying that he was too distracted by the crowd of admirers to recognize her.
Sam Asghari has been a big supporter of Britney Spears
When Britney Spears and Sam Asghari first met in October 2016 while filming her Slumber Party music video, it was love at first sight. Since then, Asghari has provided Spears with invaluable support in both her personal and professional lives.
He frequently attended her Piece of Me residency in Las Vegas. The pop star’s husband supported her as she emerged from a 30-day stay at a mental health facility in the spring of 2019.
The fitness personality, after nearly five years of dating, proposed to the Toxic singer in September 2021 as Spears was finally allowed to leave the conservatorship and reclaim control of her life. She got married to Asghari in June 2021.
