Samuel L. Jackson Made Brie Larson Feel Like She Could Never Compete With Him While Working Together on ‘The Marvels’
The Marvels has finally hit theatres starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris as the leading superheroes in the film. Brie Larson who plays Carol Danvers recently shared that she’s her co-star Samuel L. Jackson’s second favorite.
Brie Larson who is iconically known as Captain Marvel, one of the prominent superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe opened up about her chemistry with co-star Samuel L. Jackson. The actress claims that Jackson aka Nick Fury is her bestie and they share an incredible bond beyond screen.

Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson are both equally renowned figures in the superhero world, known for slaying the roles of Captain Marvel who helped the Avengers defeat the formidable Thanos, and Nick Fury whose back story has been featured in the Captain Marvel film. The two have endured a marvelous comradarie and while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Larson opened up about how it was working with Jackson. She shared:
“On The Marvels, actually, there was a moment we were working together, and they’re like, Could you do one more take? he’s like ofcource, of course. anything for my second favorite co-star. And I was like what do you mean? what are you talking about? Who’s your first? And he was like ‘Me’. I mean I can’t fight with that.”
Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson always have each other’s back, even when Larson was being criticized and received backlash from people for allegedly being discriminatory towards male critics. In a recent episode of Fallon’s show, the Free Fire star shared insights about her ongoing The Marvels and even mentioned her work in the Apple TV+ series Lessons in Chemistry. Larson for her latest movie states: “I’m back and I brought some friends this time.” reflecting on her character whose powers are entangled with her other two teammates while trying to figure out how to defeat the brutal tyrant Dar-Benn.
Samuel L. Jackson Describes Brie Larson as a Strong Person
The two co-stars have been friends for years and when Brie Larson faced backlash over her playing the lead in Captain Marvel, Samuel L. Jackson came forward in support of her describing her as a “stronger person than people give her credit for.” Jackson worked with Larson for the first time in Kong: Skull Island and since then the two have been supporting each other. During an interview with Rolling Stone, Jackson addressed Larson’s haters and said:
“She’s not going to let any of that stuff destroy her. These incel dudes who hate strong women, or the fact that she’s a feminist who has an opinion and expressed it? Everybody wants people to be who they want them to be. She is who she is, and she’s genuinely that.”
The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard star shared that he supported Brie Larson when she was at a lower point and in doubt if Captain Marvel would do good to her. Jackson described the Unicorn Store actress as an incredible artist who’s quite passionate about her work and will never allow haters to let her down.
