“Saying my lines and throwing up into a basket”: Peter Dinklage Faced Game of Thrones-level Torture in Real Life When Forced to Work Sick
- Peter Dinklage has starred in numerous great movies and shows over the years.
- He had to perform in a play even when he had to throw up every few minutes.
- He stars alongside MCU co-star Josh Brolin in a recently released comedy film.
Peter Dinklage had a tough start in the entertainment industry, and the reasons are quite obvious. He was often offered stereotypical characters for actors with short stature. Luckily, he did not let this deter him and continued to fight for his position in the industry. Once, he did find a footing there was no going back.
It is no secret that sometimes, actors have to face adverse situations like sudden changes in scripts or sickness while doing their jobs. Dinklage is no exception, but his story sounds like pure torture. In a recent interview, he told the story, and it sounds nothing short of Game of Thrones-level torture.
Peter Dinklage Had to Perform Even With His Poor Health Condition Once
The Unfrosted actor recently appeared in an episode of Hot Ones to promote the movie and told a story about that one time he was performing while sick. He said it was a Shakespearean play, and he was doing the chorus that is used to fill in the gaps in the storytelling.
The idea of this director was to bolt me to a chair on the side of the wall of the theater over the audience and it was a small space. One show, I was quite sick but the show must go on and I was saying my lines and throwing up into a basket that they had up there and the audience was below me.
He further said that the audience was worried that his vomit would land on them since he was above them, and even joked that they might have thought that it was a part of the show. He also said that the show was downtown so people did not seem too bothered.
He admitted that the experience was awful because he was almost throwing up on the audience. He even said that this story was supposed to be funny, but it sounded more sad and concerning than anything else.
Peter Dinklage Stars Alongside Josh Brolin in New Movie

These days, Dinklage is busy promoting his comedy movie, Brothers. He stars alongside Josh Brolin in the film.
