Adam Sandler‘s career in the entertainment industry began in the late 1980s and in 1990, he was hired as a writer for Saturday Night Live (SNL). He departed from the show in 1995. That same year, he played the role of Billy Madison in the namesake film, which did well at the box office although the reviews were largely negative.
He also starred in the sports comedy film Happy Gilmore, released in 1996, and a financial success. In 1999, he founded his own production company Happy Madison Production, which proved to be instrumental in taking his career forward. It is this company that is producing a sequel to the 1996 film.
During an episode on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Sandler confirmed that Kelce would be starring in Happy Gilmore 2. Recently, an insider has claimed to Life & Style Magazine that the Punch-Drunk Love actor is hoping that this move will draw pop star Taylor Swift to the sets.
Adam knows that bringing Travis in on the film also brings him into Taylor’s world. Since Sadie and Sunny will have small parts in this movie, like some of Adam’s other films, they’re banking on Taylor showing up to cheer on Travis when he shoots his scene.
It is no secret that Sandler’s daughters, Sadie and Sunny, are huge fans of Swift so this would be a chance for them to meet their idol and hopefully, spend some time with her while Kelce is busy with the movie.
Although this insider scoop is to be taken with a pinch of salt, it has to be admitted that the NFL quarterback’s career in the film industry is rapidly moving forward because of his girlfriend’s influence. Another insider told the outlet that Kelce was aware of this but did not hesitate to take advantage.
