On Monday, March 27, the 38-year-old actress didn’t appear to be trying to cover her ringless finger as she walked through New York City.
The pair met on the set of Saturday Night Live in 2006, when Johansson was hosting for the first time and Jost had just started working as a writer. Even though they seemed to have gotten along pretty well (more on that later), they didn’t really start dating until her second hosting gig in 2017.
The two announced their engagement in October 2020 via an Instagram post that came as a complete surprise among their fans.

This week, Scarlett Johansson was seen with no wedding ring on her finger before leaving the house without her husband, Colin Jost. And the surprising part was that the 38-year-old Avengers: Endgame actress wasn’t trying to cover up her ringless finger on Monday in New York City as she tried to blend in with the crowd.
She exposed her bare left digit in photos that were obtained by Radar Online in response to rumors that she and the Saturday Night Live comedian were leading “separate lives,” which her rep dismissed as “BS.”
She chose a casual outing outfit for her look. A fleece jacket, navy leggings, and sneakers were all that Johansson was sporting. The blonde bombshell covered her trademark locks with a baseball cap and donned sunglasses in an apparent attempt to blend in.
While talking on the phone and walking quickly, the actress gave off the impression of a woman on a mission. The Marvel actress may not have been recognized by people on the street, but she was caught by the paparazzi. Johansson’s diamond engagement ring was not to be found, and she was holding her headphones in her left hand. She wore a gold ring on her right ring finger, and it didn’t appear to be her customary wedding band.
They were ‘Living Separate Lives’
In recent months, Scarlett Johansson hasn’t been spotted with her husband, Colin Jost. In August, seven months earlier, the two appeared content as they lounged on a boat with friends in the warm weather. The couple was photographed smiling and taking a drink while sailing in the Hamptons.
They were reportedly “living separate lives” back in July because the actress was busy filming a movie in London and the comedian was on tour. Hollywood celebrities allegedly suffered from their hectic schedules.
Insiders at the time claimed that “Colin’s always had a reputation for being a flirt.” According to Johansson, she used to take pride in having a contemporary viewpoint on marriage, saying that while “it doesn’t bother her, she also doesn’t want to be embarrassed,” as per the Insider.
The couple, who welcomed their son, Cosmo Jost, in August 2021, was dealing with a staying separate situation for the first time, according to the insider. “It’s definitely weighing on Scarlett.”
It was on Saturday Night Live that Johansson and Jost first connected; however, it wasn’t until 2017 that they got engaged. The Avengers: Infinity War actress also shares an 8-year-old daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, with journalist Romain Dauriac, her second ex-husband. She was previously married to Ryan Reynolds for three years, from 2008 to 2011.
