Williams states that the original benders are shown differently in the original Avatar: The Last Airbender and its sequel The Legend of Korra. A flashback episode in the latter show depicts the first Avatar who learned to master all four elements from gigantic lion-turtle creatures. On the other hand, in the original show, we see dragons practicing firebending, flying bisons mastering airbending, waterbending by the moon, and earthbending by badger moles.
Avatar last air bender fans only: Question- If the original benders were the sky bisons, badger moles, and dragons; how does that tie in with Avatar Wan when the lion sea turtle gave all the people bending power?????

Fans of the show swiftly logged in to put forth their points and answer the question posed by one of the most successful female athletes in the world. They clarified how the various animals were the first ones to discover and harness the powers of different elements. Lion-turtles went on to share their knowledge with humans and urged them to unlock the ability within themselves. Williams surprised fans with her eye for detail as she noticed such a detail in the show.
Did Serena Williams Voice Act in Avatar: The Last Airbender?
Apart from her successful tennis career, Williams has lent her voice to minor roles in Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. The milestone 50th episode of the original show was titled The Day of Black Sun, Part 1: The Invasion, and featured Williams in the role of Ming. She is a young female guard at a prison in the Fire Nation. Her kindness and caring attitude make life easier for Iroh and in turn, she is saved from the looming invasion.
Her love for the story lured her to voice a character in the sequel The Legend of Korra as well. Williams lends her voice to a female sage in the seventh episode of season 2. The episode features Korra as she cleanses herself from a dark spirit’s attack. Albeit a very minor role, Williams was happy to be a part of the series in any way possible.
