Courteney Cox, who played Monica Geller in FRIENDS, recently shocked her fans by admitting that she is identical to the character. The sitcom ended in 2004, but it’s still an iconic one adored by fans. Cox’s character on the show was a neat freak until one episode revealed her secret messy closet. A similar thing happened with the actress in real life.
The filmmaker recently shared a video on her Instagram showing fans the remodel of her dining room. However, the cameraman had other plans. While following the actress to the dining room, he got distracted after seeing a slightly opened sliding door. Curious, he asked the FRIENDS alum “Oh wait, what’s in here?”
Cox freaked and jumped attempting to close the door and block the camera as Cox’s buddy opened the door to reveal a room full of stacked boxes, duvets, and other belongings.
She said, “Oh my gosh, nothing! Max, nothing. Please, Max, stop! That’s not funny. Seriously, don’t film it.” And then the view of the camera turned black.

Fans related the incident to that particular FRIENDS episode in which Courteney Cox’s character’s messy closet was revealed. In a memorable episode from the sitcom’s eighth season, Monica tried to keep Chandler (Matthew Perry) from seeing her messy wardrobe. Monica was worried that Chandler will ruin the space after he requests to bring his belongings inside.
