Shakira Has “no interest” In Dating Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise and Shakira recently got together at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. Soon after, rumors that the actor was attempting to court Shakira for a romantic relationship began to circulate online. The Latin singer has now clarified the situation around her and Cruise’s romance.
Shakira had a great time hanging out with the movie star at the F1 but she has no interest in dating him, a source close to her informed US Weekly. Although she thought he was incredibly lovely and enjoyed being with him, she isn’t currently interested in dating him or anyone else. She is at present preoccupied with her work and children despite having a lot on her plate.
Shakira was amused when she read the report that Cruise wanted to date her, the source stated,
“Shakira has seen the online rumors that Tom has been courting her—and how fans are chiming in with their opinions—but she thinks it’s hilarious because it’s just not true. She had a fun time when they chatted, but that’s as far as things have gone.”
“He was really nice and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment,” an Insider told multiple reports.
“She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now,” it added.
Cruise and Shakira traveled to Miami to support Lewis Hamilton, the racing superstar from the United Kingdom, with whom she has since been sighted taking a sunny boat ride.
They Have Had “a relationship for many years”
El Confidencial reports that the two have been “in a relationship for many years,” and that the famous actor values his friendships.
It was also claimed that the actor called Shakira before his movie Top Gun in order to ask her opinion of the eagerly anticipated production.
“When friends are in Miami, they get together,” one of her close friends Emilio Estefan said. “The press wants to create a romance, but she’s known Tom for a long time. She’s focused on her family.”
It seems like the pair have been keeping in contact for many years, and the actor has shown his support in recent months. Many of his colleagues in the entertainment business, including Michael Caine, Steven Spielberg, Will Smith, Salma Hayek, David Beckham, and others, see Cruise as a close buddy.
After dating football player Gerard Pique for 12 years, the singer and the former Barcelona player recently called it quits.
