Shakira No Longer Cares How She Looks Following Gerard Pique Split, Wears Off-Fashion Footwear To Italian Eatery To Spend Time With Her Kids
A terrible fashion faux pas always catches attention, especially when committed by especially famous and iconic personalities, and Shakira might just have committed her biggest fashion faux pas ever. She has been in the news for months over her separation from long-time partner Gerard Pique and the custody battle for their kids that followed. And after weeks and weeks of unending struggle, she finally managed to get her way as the former Barcelona player agreed to the Waka Waka singer moving to Miami with their sons, Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7.
While the Columbian singer has often claimed that she has always sidelined everything including her career for the sake of her kids, it now seems that she doesn’t care so much about fashion anymore either.
Shakira commits a major fashion blunder
Shakira was spotted having a cozy day out with her sons in Rome this Tuesday. The trio was spotted sightseeing on their winter break but it wasn’t the bond that caught people’s eye, it was the Whenever, Wherever singer’s horrendous shoes.
She decided to dress comfortably for the day, with white joggers, a white t-shirt, and a bright orange bomber jacket. However, she decided to round off the attire with chunky Bottega Veneta platform sandals that are worth £715 a pair. Picking up a normal pair of converse or sneakers would’ve saved the 45-year-old, both a tiring day of walking around in heels, and the media’s ire as well.
On top of wearing heels with joggers, she decided to pair the footwear with sage green socks that made the whole look even more off-putting. She accessorized the fit with a white and sage green baseball cap and white Balenciaga handbag, which would have been a saving grace but after those shoes, there was no saving that outfit.
On top of it, the Hips Don’t Lie singer was seen carrying a £1,790 Burberry trench coat after having recently starred in the British heritage brand’s holiday campaign.
After months of struggle, a pleasant day out in Rome for Shakira and the kids
The three musketeers supped at a famous local restaurant, Alfredo Alla Scrofa – said to be the originating place of the world-famous Fettuccine pasta.
They further visited Rome’s Imperial Forums and Piazza del Campidoglio, historical courtyards designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti.
The mother-sons-trio was also spotted near a local Gladiator school, as the three were keenly observing a fully dressed tutor donning gladiatorial attire showcasing them the renowned form of combat.
Quite a day for the family indeed. Hopefully, the Te Felicito singer won’t bother reading what people online think about her choice of outfit.
