She has been labeled multiple times, criticized, and trolled for her outrageous looks and sense of dressing. The Frozen singer is back in the spotlight again for her provocative coffee table book named S*X. The book would be available for the first time at Christie’s New York this fall season.
Madonna Slammed By The Twitteratti For Her Semi-Nude Pictures
In the month of October, more than 40 prints would be going for the standalone auction. The price of each print would be between $50,000 to $300,000. Each print would be signed by the pop star Madonna and the fashion photographer Steven Meisel, who is the head of the shoot. According to Darius Himes, who is Christie’s deputy chairman and international head of photographs
“Thirty years on, ‘S-x’ is still somewhat controversial, but it still reads as a very body-positive, s-x-positive book. It was both shocking and titillating and captured so much white-hot energy coming off of Madonna in the early 1990s.”
He added-
“The series captures a moment in time of one of the great fashion photographers of his generation and the queen of pop. While there’s playfulness and campiness, there’s also a classical nude study thing going on. I think they resonate across multiple generations.”
The erotic coffee table cover includes pictures of the Material Girl singer and others imitating s**ual acts. It also comprised pictures of Madonna’s then-boyfriend, Vanilla Ice, and Hollywood stars like socialite Tatiana von Fürstenberg and supermodel Naomi Campbell.
Madonna was slammed for posting outrageous pictures of herself on Instagram. She had written back in the comment section-
“I spent the next few years being interviewed by narrow-minded people who tried to shame me for empowering myself as a Woman. I was called a whore, a witch, a heretic, and the devil.”
After CNN tweeted about Madonna’s coffee table book named S*X, people took to Twitter and slammed the 64-year-old songwriter. One of the Twitter users even mentioned that Madonna could use these provocative pictures for OnlyFans, while others shared their remarks as well.
