“She grabbed me from behind”: 19 Year Old NBA Star Defends Security Detail Slapping Britney Spears in Public as Fans Outrage for Assault

Recently, Britney Spears was met with an embarrassing situation as the singer was physically assaulted by the security officer of the NBA player Victor Wembanyama. This happened when the 41-year-old songstress approached the basketball player for a picture. The legal team of Britney Spears has already filed a complaint against Victor Wembanyama’s security person.

The Britney Spears’ physical assault incident has become viral in the entertainment world. According to the allegations made by the Grammy winner, she was allegedly slapped by one of the security personnel at a celebrity hotspot area inside the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas,
Recently, Victor Wembanyama broke his silence on the viral incident, which involved one of the security heads allegedly slapping the singer on her face. In a statement given to ESPN the 19-year-old NBA player said-
“Something did happen, a little bit, when I was walking with some security from the team to some restaurant. We were in the hall. There was a lot of people, so people were calling [at] me, obviously. There was one person who was calling me, but we talked before with security.”
Victor Wembanyama even mentioned that he did not pay attention that Britney Spears was calling him out for a picture with him due to the huge crowd of fans. He further mentioned-
“I didn’t see what happened because I was walking straight and didn’t stop. That person grabbed me from behind — not on my shoulder — she grabbed me from behind. I just know the security pushed her away. I didn’t know for a couple hours, but when I came back to the hotel … I thought it was no big deal, and then security of the Spurs told me it was Britney Spears. At first, I was like, ‘You’re joking,’ but yeah, it turns out it was Britney Spears. I never saw her face. I just kept walking straight.”

A source close to the Gimme More singer revealed that she is a big fan of the young athlete. She was present along with her husband Sam Asghari and two other friends. Just like any enthusiastic fan, the singer approached the player for a picture, but the twist of events turned into an ugly manhandling incident. The Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs smacked Britney Spears due to which she fell on the ground.
According to the allegations made by the singer-
“It was really loud, so I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. I am aware of the player’s statement where he mentions I ‘grabbed him from behind’ but I simply tapped his shoulder. His security, then backhanded me in the face without looking back, in front of a crowd. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses to fall off my face.”
She further continued-
“I have yet to receive a public apology from the player, his security or their organization. I hope they will.”
The entire incident has caught the attention of the world. Britney Spears hasn’t received any form of apology from the perpetrator as of now. No public statement or apology has been issued from the American professional basketball team San Antonio Spurs till now. The singer has demanded a public apology for the security guard’s inappropriate and insensitive actions.
Britney Spears’ Husband Sam Asghari Slammed The Security Official
Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari took to social media and blasted the member of Victor Wembanyama’s security team after his wife was allegedly slapped by him at the celebrity hotspot area inside the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Britney Spears approached the NBA star for a picture after the match and was manhandled by one of the security officials of the basketball player. According to the security person, he wasn’t aware of the singer’s presence as the place was stuffed with fans.
Sam Asghari was highly frustrated with the behavior of the security guy toward his wife and that was very evident in his Instagram story, which mentioned-
“I am opposed to violence in any form, especially without justification in the defense of yourself or someone else who is unable to defend themselves. Self-defense can be unavoidable, but the defense of any woman, especially my wife, is not debatable,” he continued. “I consider my reaction subdued considering what occurred, and I hope the man in question learns a lesson and changes his disregard for women.”
In the second post, the 29-year-old Iranian-American model carefully mentioned how this unfortunate incident should not create any problem with the young player’s basketball career. He stated in the post-
“The blame should fall on the coward who did this, the people who hired him without proper vetting, and a systematic culture of disregard for women within sports and entertainment. I can’t imagine a scenario where an unarmed female fan showing any kind of excitement or appreciation for a celebrity would cause her to be physically assaulted, much less being hit in the face for tapping someone on the shoulder.”
Sam Asghari concluded the post with a message which stated that he is looking forward to how the organization would handle the entire situation and the changes they should be making after the incident. Sam Asghari has always stood by Britney Spears like a rock over the years, through her ups and downs in life. According to Law enforcement sources, investigations are going on and criminal charges would be filed against the Spurs team security director Damian Smith.
