“She is obviously disappointed and upset”: Reese Witherspoon Devastated After Divorcing Jim Toth Despite Rumors of Marriage Going Stale After 11 Years
After more than a decade-long relationship, Reese Witherspoon has separated from her ex-husband Jim Toth. Although both of them have reached the decision amicably and on common ground, it is still upsetting for the Legally Blonde actor reportedly. This seems to be the case considering it is her second divorce. Witherspoon’s first divorce was from her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe back in 2006. And seemingly she does not like the fact that she is going through another separation even though it might have been the best option left in her relationship.
Reese Witherspoon’s Second Divorce Has Left Her Devastated
Recently, it was announced that Grammy-winning actor Reese Witherspoon divorced her long-time husband Jim Toth. But following the news, it has been reported that the actress is not happy at all despite the decision being an amicable one. Both of them agreed to separate as it did not seem to have been working out for the two anymore. The pair issued a joint statement on Friday (24th March).

As per reports from People, their incompatibility in terms of personality was the driving factor in the decision to separate. But despite that, Witherspoon is overall not quite happy with a second divorce in her life. A source shared with the publication that,
“Reese is obviously disappointed and upset. She never saw herself getting another divorce,”
She has gone through a divorce before and having another is sure to make one feel upset. The actor’s first divorce was from her Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe with whom she shares two kids. Their relationship lasted from 1999 to 2006. At the time she said the divorce and the following personal issues had affected her career.
However, with the recent divorce, the Legally Blonde actor and Toth are focused on their daughter Tennesee whom the pair have decided to co-parent even after the divorce. Their marriage lasted for 11 years and it seems with time it just got stale. Reportedly there is no serious reason behind the split. And their decision seems natural.
How Did their Relationship Start?
Following her split with ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhall, Reese Witherspoon met her ex-husband Jim Toth back in 2010 at a party. It did not take them long to get together as they engaged only a year later. And shortly afterward, the two tied the knot. Since then the two kept their marriage strong and even had a daughter named Tennesse James who is turning 11 this year. However, their marriage which lasted hotel than a decade has come to a close this year. But everything is friendly and platonic between the two.
