Davidson asked her as they were preparing for the 2022 Met Gala, where Kim K complemented him first and said, “You look so f–king handsome. Like, so cute.” Kardashian recalled the moment and asked, “I know, will you ask me again this time? I won’t have gloves on.”
The comedian told her it was one of the kindest rejections he’s ever received. He said,
“I knew it was an excuse, but I remember being in the car being like, ‘Wow, she knows how to make someone feel good about themselves.’ I thought that was really sweet.”
“You were just like, ‘Hey, I can’t give you my number; I have gloves on.’”
Kim Kardashian defended herself, asserting that “it was not an excuse,” but regretting the incident later. She replied, “Had only I known.”
At last year’s Met Gala, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum had asked Davidson for advice about her upcoming SNL hosting gig, despite having no romantic interest in him at that time.
The Met Gala 2022 was a special moment for the couple, but Davidson wanted to do something different. The two discussed the stress of walking two red carpets back-to-back after attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner the night before the Met Gala.
