In her 2016 memoir, Kathy Griffin’s Celebrity Run-Ins: My A-Z Index, Griffin wrote about an encounter with Ellen DeGeneres. Griffin never holds back when it comes to speaking the truth, and she always says what is on her mind regardless of the circumstances. Griffin made startling revelations almost a decade ago about Ellen DeGeneres’ alleged bad behavior on set, but she exposed her toxic behavior and her feud in her book.

A TikTok video shared by Griffin shows the clip of her interview with Joy Behar on her show The Joy Behar Show. In that clip, Behar, TV host of The View now, accused Griffin of being “nasty” to DeGeneres in her book Celebrity Run-Ins: My A-Z Index. Also, the TikTok video shows Griffin was the first to call DeGeneres out in 2009 for her rude behavior towards the crew members and guests.

Griffin explained in the video,

“Well, I told a story about her that was my experience when I was on her show. I just thought she ruled that set with an iron fist.”

“In a way, that was a little…it took me back a little bit.”

According to the video, Joy Behar pushed back at Griffin and accused her of not being fair to DeGeneres. However, people in the comments section praised Griffin for being unafraid to speak the truth. Additionally, Griffin was banned from The Ellen DeGeneres Show for speaking truth.

Did Ellen DeGeneres’ Ruling Behavior Lead To Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ Demise?

Former So You Think You Can Dance contestant, DJ, and executive producer for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, committed suicide at 40 on December 13, 2022, and reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Reports indicated that he made the decision due to extreme online pressure from netizens to support DeGeneres. The late DJ’s friend, Todrick Hall, reported that the show’s “toxic workplace” controversy pushed him to commit suicide. While he left a suicide note on the scene, there is still no information on the reasons for his suicide.

Several former employees accused DeGeneres of fostering a culture of “racism, fear, and intimidation” on set. The revelation resulted in a massive backlash and online criticism, with some pointing at DJ tWitch for supporting the talk show host. According to reports, as a result of former staffers complaining about a toxic work environment on the show, the comedy icon apologized on television, and public perception shifted toward her. Since allegations of a ‘toxic work environment’ emerged behind the scenes, DeGeneres’ ratings have been appalling, and she was forced to end her show which was last aired in May 2022.
