Detailing the incident, Roberts was standing in front of Ross when she playfully said to the director, John J. Gray, that “‘Angelica’s being mean”. Gray intervened and instructed, saying, “OK, ladies, that’s enough; let’s get back to work.” According to Ross, Roberts turned to Ross and said, “Don’t you mean lady?’ while covering her mouth. Ross being transgender felt so hurt and humiliated by Roberts’ comment.
Ross in her post, expressed how the incident deeply made her upset and left her blood “boiling.” She initially decided not to react to Roberts due to concerns about the repercussions faced by the others who have done so. Ross went on to describe that Roberts seemed preoccupied with her appearance and turned away from her to face the camera.
“I’m looking at her dead-ass in the camera, like, ‘What the f— did you just say? I’m trying to process what the f— she just said. I’m standing there, and she walks away. My blood is boiling. Boiling, because I’m like, if I say something, it’s going to be me; that’s the problem. And I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what she was doing, and they got repercussions from that.”
In the following interaction, Ross avoided speaking to Roberts, even though they continued filming together. Ross added that Roberts seemed to sense the tension and asked Ross if she was okay.

Let me make something absolutely clear. I appreciate the support but please do not joke about violence towards Emma. Joke about her being held accountable. Now THATs funny 😆
