According to the trailer, it has been speculated that a tie-up between the reputed American food chain company Mc’Donalds and Marvel is definitely on the horizon. Recently, the executive producer Kevin Wright spoke about McDonald’s connection with Tom Hiddleston’s project during an interview with a media outlet.

Kevin Wright On How McDonald’s Fits Into Loki Season 2

During an interview with the media outlet Fast Company, executive producer Kevin Wright spoke about the much-speculated McDonald’s connection with the upcoming Marvel project. He mentioned that on the last day of completing the filming of the first season, they had asked actor Sophia Di Martino who plays the character of Sylvie if she might be hungry after killing Kang the conquerer, portrayed by Jonathan Majors. He explained how McDonald’s inclusion came into existence. He said-

“This character had been on a decades-long, maybe centuries-long revenge mission and the classic trope of those stories is that it’s all-consuming and she’s not thinking about what comes next. Now she has this moment of opportunity, where is she going to go?”

He further added-

“When we stayed in the view of the character, this woman who went on the run as a child, had been running through time, a fugitive of time, living in apocalypses, never being able to relax or slow down, the novelty of walking into a 1980s McDonald’s looked appealing. You play a Little League game and go to McDonald’s. You go to a kid’s birthday party at McDonald’s. Someone like Sylvie would never have experienced that, and would be really taken by that.”

While talking about the giant multinational fast-food chain, he said-

“I was worried that McDonald’s would think we wanted to do something ironic or make fun of them. But we were selling an earnest story, a love letter to nostalgia through a character’s eyes who will see all of the novelty and joy of it.”

Amidst Jonathan Majors’ domestic violence case, the future of the Loki 2 looked shrouded with uncertainty. The investigations are still going and MCU has made no announcement regarding the actor’s 2025 standalone project based on the antagonist Kang, the conquerer.

“I’ve been lucky working on a million movies and always having a good time but on that one, I had a really great time and that continued on Season Two,”

However, the fans have been expecting more about Owen Wilson’s character Mobius for a long period of time. The Loki Season 2 circles around the protagonist’s change of heart.
