They’ve kept a lower profile since. But the couple is reportedly struggling to settle into marital life following their dreamy wedding as the honeymoon bliss is quickly wearing off.
After many pictures of Gone Girl actor Ben Affleck, looking bored and emotionless next to JLo, have resurfaced on the internet recently, an insider reports to Heat world that those close to the newlyweds are concerned that the Hustlers star has turned her hubby into her own “personal robot”. Affleck is reportedly slowly transforming into this new version of himself where he keeps his emotions shut just to not displease his new wife.
Ben Affleck has turned into Jennifer Lopez’s “puppet”
Jennifer Lopez is allegedly very much the one driving her marriage with the Dawn of Justice superstar. Recently, an unnamed revealed to the Heat magazine how Ben Affleck has given up and has accepted everything as his fate. “Everyone, including Ben, knew what marrying Jennifer would entail, but it’s hard to believe he is 100 percent happy when he’s so visibly awkward and lost-looking, It’s almost as if he’s turned into J-Lo’s puppet, just like all the other guys before him, and there’s a strong sense that he’s accepted this is his path, at least for now.” the source said.
The insider indicated how Affleck’s close ones like his childhood pal Matt Damon and his only sibling Casey Affleck are trying to make him get out of his marriage troubles. “The likes of Matt Damon and his brother Casey have been shaking their heads and hoping he snaps out of it. The poor guy looks like he’s about to burst into tears at any time” says the insider.
Ben Affleck is afraid of asking for space from Jennifer Lopez
Affleck, who has previously struggled with drug abuse and alcohol addiction, is not ready to raise his voice as it might vex her new wife. The insider revealed, “Ben’s not raised any complaints to Jen, probably because he knows if he started asking for space, it would not go down very well. Jen would be the first to admit she’s needy, but with Ben, it’s on another level. It doesn’t even enter her head that she’s asking too much of him.”
“She views them as the superstar couple of their generation – if not all of time – and so they come as a package deal,” the source shared. Affleck’s close friends and family are concerned that he might be in deeper than he thought, with the insider explaining, “Jen very much wears the pants. She tells him how to dress, eat, work out – how to live his whole life.” Reportedly, the 53-year-old star silences his voice just to not make her wife mad and is turning into “JLo’s personal robot”, as Ben Affleck has turned into a new version of himself.
