He said he didn’t even read the script and just accepted the role. However, Karl Urban worked with the actress earlier in the Lord of the Rings but was not able to share any scenes.
He said that this is what contributed to him deciding to play the character. Urban also talked about how he was he was excited to see Anthony Hopkins, and Sam Neil on the set. Karl Urban’s Opinion on Skurge
He further talks about how the character of Skurge undergoes a complete arc, from being the be frost beige keeper to the executioner to the defender of Asgard. Skurge makes a sacrifice in the final battle for saving his fellow Asgardians and did not make it through the events of Thor: Ragnarok.
He said, “Through the course of the film, he gets sickened by what he is required to do to work for Hela. It’s always fun when you have a character that you can take it to one direction and then have a pivot. If I can find the opportunity to do that I will,” he continued.
Karl Urban is now playing the role of Butcher in Amazon Prime’s ongoing series, The Boys. As always he slays the role and keeps on impressing everyone with his acting. The 3rd season of the show concluded last month and fans are eager to know what will happen to Butcher in the next season of The Boys.
