American rapper Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. is regarded as a hip-hop, West Coast hip-hop, g-funk, and gangsta rap artist who has impressed listeners with freestyling lyrics on the spot. He is regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop artists and is admired by fans across the world. Robin Allen, stage name Lady of Rage, once shared that Snoop Dogg creates music by freestyling his lyrics.

If there is something other than music for which Snoop Dogg is known, that is him admitting to being a cannabis smoker publicly and, over the years, it has become one of the trademarks of his image. The artist has been certified for medical cannabis in California to treat migraines since 2007. Recently, Snoop shocked his fans across the world when he announced that he was giving up smoking, but wait, there’s a catch.

Snoop Dogg is not giving up smoking, instead, collaborating with a smokeless fire pit

Last week, the hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg shocked the entire world when he shared on his social media that he was giving up smoking. The artist shared a picture of him with the caption, “I’m giving up smoke,” the image read,

“After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”

But on Monday, he clarified what he meant when he said he was giving up ‘smoke’. He said in the campaign video shared on his social media,

“I have an announcement, I’m giving up smoke. I know what you’re thinking, Snoop smoke is kind your whole thing. But I’m done with it. I’m done with the coughing an my clothes smelling all stinky.”

The artist continued,

“I’m going smokeless. Solo Stove makes fire. They take out the smoke. Clever.”

Snoop has been vocal about his love for smoking and has also shared a handful of stories about getting high with artists including Ed Sheeran, Willie Nelson, and Matthew McConaughey.

Fans noted that not only is Snoop Dogg a great artist, but with this ad campaign, he shines like a marketing genius. In a statement Snoop Dogg shared,

“I love a good fire outside but the smoke was too much. Solo Stove fixed the fire and took out the smoke. They changed the game and now I’m excited to spread the love and stay warm with my friends and family.”

John Morris, Solo Brands’ CEO, also expressed their excitement to partner up with someone as great as Snoop Dogg he said in a statement via Billboard,

Fans reacted to his brilliant marketing tactic by stating that they knew something was off as ‘SMOKE’ was way too vague, while someone else wrote that “This is a better twist than any more has ever been written.” 

Snoop Dogg, however, did mention in March to Daily Mail via EW that he has been cutting back on his marijuana consumption now that he is a grandfather. He said the main way is to be concerned with how he lives, how he moves, and the kind of people he is associated with because he wants to see his grandkids grow old.
