Actor Liam Neeson has once more discussed the Star Wars franchise and its fans. He claimed that despite the series’ cult-like fan base, the multiple movies and TV series that have been produced over the years have diluted the brand as a whole. Neeson played Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in the prequels. While talking to Conan O’Brien The Commuter star expressed his thoughts about why he believes that the franchise is now being diluted despite knowing and accepting that Star Wars is a cult:

“Star Wars is a cult. There’s so many movies and spin-offs, and I think, you’re diluting the whole thing.”

Neeson continued by informing O’Brien that because of his Star Wars fame, he frequently receives requests for autographs in public settings like airports. Young folks approach him, but Neeson noticed that most of the time it’s the parent or grandfather who is actually asking for the autograph. In a brief cameo, Neeson reprised his role as Qui-Gon in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Despite the fact that Qui-Gon was assassinated by Darth Maul, he is more recognized for playing the role in The Phantom Menace. Qui-Gon’s stint in the Star Wars cinematic world didn’t last long, but he became a fan favorite nonetheless.

One of the most well-known franchises in the entire world is definitely Star Wars. With futuristic and imaginative elements, it first catered to a small audience, but because of its widespread appeal, Star Wars swiftly went from being the darling of geeks to a major worldwide cultural phenomenon. Actor Liam Neeson recently said that he did the funniest thing on the Star Wars set, proving that even the biggest names in Hollywood have a little kid within them with a flashlight.

Liam Neeson recently revealed the funniest thing he ever did when filming Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace during an interview with Conan O’Brien on the podcast Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend. The actor claims that while he and Ewan McGregor, who was playing Obi-Wan, were filming a scene, they both pulled out their lightsabers and made the distinctive “vroom, vroom” noises associated with the weapon. George Lucas then reportedly called “cut,” stating that the noises would be added in post-production. This turned out to be quite funny for Neeson at that time.
