In the ever-increasing justice-minded world, a lot of social issues have come up at the center stage in the past decade than at any other time. From the domestic level to the workplace issues, everything is open for scrutiny by the public.

This brought many shocking truths to light, including the gender pay gap. In Hollywood, it became a huge topic of discussion after the 2015 Sony document leak. Following this, many female stars spoke out about the stark differences in their pay in comparison to their male counterparts.

One of these cases included Natalie Portman and her No Strings Attached co-star Ashton Kutcher who reportedly earned three times more than Portman received for the same film. Although she did not have anything bad to say against Kutcher, the That 70s Show star showed his full support for Portman after she came out with the issue in an interview.

It turned out that Kutcher received three times more than his co-star in the movie. Portman opened up in a 2017 Marie Claire interview that she already knew the existence of a pay difference. However, learning the actual difference was undoubtedly shocking news. Following this, Kutcher came up with his full support by praising the Black Swan star for addressing and questioning the issue. He tweeted,

So proud of Natalie and all women who stand up for closing the gender pay gap!”

In addition to that, the Valentine’s Day actor also shared the link to Portman’s interview. In addition to her, many other A-list have spoken out on the issue since the 2015 Sony leak.
