It was a rough start for Jeremy Renner. The actor earlier this year suffered a life-threatening injury involving a snow plowing incident. Since then, several new perspectives have come out of the incident, adding an extra layer to it at every turn. But this time he chose to share his side of the story himself. Reportedly, his neighbor was the one who saved his life from the crushing blow. The star is now eternally grateful for all the events that transpired leading him here. Therefore, “Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview — A Story of Terror, Survival, and Triumph,” was the place he decided to open up and his side of the experience for the first time ever.

In the snippets shared by ABC, the actor can be seen recollecting the pain and trauma he had to go through during the moment. He was terrified by all the possibilities of not surviving and never again seeing his family, which was a thought that haunted him endlessly.

Jeremy Renner was saved by his neighbor

The witness that was present to save Jeremy Renner in time was none other than his neighbor. The actor’s recollection of the traumatic incident left everybody in shock. He recently revealed a lot of disturbing details about the things that went on post the snowcat ran over him despite it having several safety gears. He broke 30 bones in the process and is now on a journey of recovery and healing.

Therefore, in his interview with Diane Sawyer, he took the opportunity to share his side of the story. In one instance a 911 call made from the site was shared on air. The caller says,

“Someone’s in front of my house on the ground and got run over by a snowcat, he’s been crushed.”

The person then adds,

 “Send paramedics, ambulance… Listen to me. I need — you might wanna get life flight out here immediately…He’s in rough shape.”

Implying the severity of the situation. He is eternally grateful to the person for saving him like an angel sent from above.

Jeremy Renner’s thoughts during the incident

Everybody’s favorite Hawkeye was visibly upset and teary-eyed throughout the interview. He has been in pain for the past couple of months and recounting those events caused him even more discomfort. The actor revealed he did not believe he would be able to make a comeback after such a life-threatening event. Thus, revealed writing his last words when he was in a critical condition. He said,

“I’m writing down notes in my phone — my last words to my family.”

The actor then further adds,

“If I was there, on my own, that would’ve been a horrible way to die,—And surely, I would’ve. Surely. But I wasn’t alone — [I was with] my nephew. Sweet Alex. And the rest of the calvary came.”

Although he is glad, those weren’t his actual last words and he is extremely grateful for the incident as it made him realize what to prioritize in the new chapter of his life. The love and support from his fans and colleagues all the over the world made his pain a little bearable. The interview will air on Thursday, April 6th, fans are waiting eagerly to know more about the incident that changed Renner’s life forever.
