Star Trek Actor Who Also Starred in Hugh Laurie’s Emmy-winning Drama Series ‘House’ Dies at 67
Hollywood lost one of its gems recently which has left everyone in grief. American actor Erich Anderson has left his family in utter despair. The Unfaithful actor’s was immensely famous for his roles in Felicity, Dallas, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
Anderson was happily married to American actress Saxon Trainor since 2003. With more than 100 credits to his name throughout his career and a healthy personal life, the actor apparently kept everyone in the shadows regarding his most difficult challenge. His unfortunate death revealed how he was battling really hard in his final days.
Star Trek Actor Erich Anderson Passed Away at the Age of 67
American actor Erich Anderson’s wife has recently shared news that is breaking every cinema lover’s hearts into pieces. Actress Saxon Trainor, Anderson’s wife, shared the news of her husband’s death via Instagram.
Trainor revealed that Anderson was in a constant battle against cancer prior to his death. She has since been in a state of grief and shared the words of her brother-in-law, Michael O’Malley.
My husband Erich died this morning… I am sharing my brother-in-law Michael O’Malley’s words as I am too bereft now to write anything.
No doubt that the couple shared a beautiful bond with each other, and such a tragic death has shattered Trainor. Schitt’s Creek actress Emily Hampshire also shared her kind words to console Trainor. She wrote:
I’m so sorry for your huge loss. Sending you all the love and healing vibes during this time.
Additionally, actress Eva Gordon also posted on Instagram to express her grief regarding her co-star’s death. She recounted how good he was as a person and how they would have fun whenever they met.
Erich Anderson Left Behind a Legacy to be Remembered
Anderson started his movie career in 1984 with the horror film Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter as Rob Dier. The filmmakers recognized his talent and he further went on to feature in Bat*21 and Unfaithful.
Besides movies, he worked in many television series like Second Chances as Bruce Christianson, Thirtysomething as Billy Sidel, and Felicity as the titular character’s father. Apart from these roles, he also played guest roles in many shows like Murder, Boomtown, and CSI: Miami.
Apart from being an actor, he was also an author. He published his first book Hallowed by Thy Name in 2012. Following this, he also authored the books Thy Kingdom Come and Rabbit: A Golf Fable in 2014 and 2022, respectively.
However, his acting career has been tragically cut short. The news reached more people after his wife shared about it on her Instagram post. People have continued to express their condolences regarding Anderson’s death on the post ever since.
