Star Wars Actor Wants to Return as Fan Favorite Character from Daredevil Season 1
The new Daredevil series continues the adventures of the titular character and officially makes Matt Murdock a part of the MCU after his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, and Echo. Fighting Kingpin again, the miniseries will follow Daredevil’s all-out efforts to protect his identity and his relationships as the villain tries to destroy everything Murdock stands for. The superhero’s entry into the MCU has been long-awaited.
Who Will Be In Daredevil: Born Again?
It was confirmed that Charlie Cox will be returning as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio will continue to be his menacing self as Kingpin. The show will feature the titular character’s journey as he fights crime all the while keeping his identity safe from the public. Moreover, other actors from the previous show will be appearing in the reboot show including Jon Bernthal, Elden Henson, and Deborah Ann Woll.
The original trio is united again for crime-fighting with a side of laughs. Fans wanted the three actors to join forces again for the show, which eventually led to the actors making a comeback. The show is currently filming in New York City with fans across the locale sharing images of the actors shooting scenes. Cox already appeared in Marvel projects in the past but this will mark his official entry into the MCU with a solo series.
Another fan-favorite character from Netflix’s Daredevil is Claire Temple, played by Rosario Dawson. Claire is a nurse who helps treat injured superheroes and eventually gets into a romantic relationship with Murdock. She is also seen reprising her role in The Defenders, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist. Now that the Netflix shows have become MCU canon, there is a huge possibility of her returning to the role. A fan reached out to her on X and asked her if she would be open to playing Claire Temple again. Dawson replied in the affirmative, making fans hopeful again for seeing her on the screen again.

The show faced numerous hurdles due to the actor’s strike and then because of creative differences among the makers, leaving fans extremely disappointed. However, the actors of the show commented and assured fans that they were doing their best work to deliver an amazing series that would fulfill fans’ expectations.

Who is Rosario Dawson?
Most recently, Dawson was seen as Ahsoka in the eponymous series on Disney+. She is quickly becoming an in-demand actress for being involved in high-profile franchises including Marvel and Star Wars. She had a brief role in The Mandalorian as well, hinting towards her bigger share in the upcoming Star Wars projects. The 44-year-old actress has also been a part of movies like Rent, Men in Black II, and The Captive.
Integrating Dawson’s Claire Temple into the MCU would have been tough given her busy schedule and her previous commitments. However, given how enthusiastic she is about her “unfinished business,” as she says in the tweet, it could be possible Marvel reaches an agreement with her and welcomes her into the MCU canon fold.
