Recently, Stranger Things fan account posted a series of images of star Sadie Sink in multiple states of terrifying distress, thanks to the various makeup departments. Many of the graphic images had fans of Stranger Things quite worried that Sink’s character, which debuted in Season 2, was slated for an end in the upcoming final episodes of Season 4. However, Twitter users did not waste any time in pointing out that these images were actually taken from actor Sadie Sink’s starring roles in the Fear Street trilogy on Netflix.
Here is the tweet and various looks of Sadie Sink:
Sink joined Stranger Things in the second season and since has been an important part of the show. Her character, Max Mayfield, became a quick fan favorite and has even become an active part of the show’s core cast of young heroes.
The fourth season saw Max turn into a target for the show’s antagonist, Vecna. The episode of season 4 Vol. 1, “Dear Billy,” revolves around Max and her terrifying encounters with Vecna. The episode has since been hailed as one of the best Stranger Things episodes to date.
What Will Be Max’s Final Arc In Stranger Things?
Sink had earlier commented on Max’s arc in the series, saying, “She’s just feeling lost and in a lot of pain. The way that Max deals with that, and has always dealt with that, is just shutting herself off and trying to keep it to herself. It’s sad to watch her close herself off from the people in her life that want to help her, but she’s stubborn.” She added, “It was nice to be able to explore that side of her and kind of dig deeper and peel back some of those layers.”
Though the images tweeted proved to be of no concern whatsoever, some anxious fans still have a lot of reasons to be worried about their characters going into the last episodes of Season 4 on July 1.
Volume 2 Will Be The DARKEST
Co-creator of Stranger Things, Ross Duffer also confirmed in an interview, saying, “I don’t really want to say, but I would be concerned about the characters going into Volume 2, for sure. I hope that that is sort of the sense, because it is a darker season and the kids are no longer kids.” He continued, “So everybody is in danger. And there’s sort of an ominous feeling that things might not go well.”
Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. II hits on Netflix on July 1.
