Stray Kids Teases Mysterious Comeback with Cryptic Trailer

The internet is ignited with theories after Stray Kids dropped a mysterious teaser for their July 19th comeback. Their fans, aka STAYs, are piecing together clues from the short video posted on JYP‘s YouTube channel. The trailer for the album features the band in a humorous parody of a commercial for a fortune cookie that grants good luck.

At the very end of the trailer, three logos flash on the screen: ATE, Chk Chk Boom, and Stray Kids. This has STAYs guessing! Some think ‘ATE’ might be the name of the new album, with ‘Chk Chk Boom’ as the lead song of the  upcoming Marvel movie, Deadpool & Wolverine.

A fan even connected the dots: ATE from the video’s title, where A=1, T=20, E=5, adding up to 26. Deadpool 3 is set to release on July 26, matching the sum. Check out the post here:

Before the logos, we see Seungmin with a dog munching on his pizza. This dog, known as Lucky or Pizza Dog, is a character from Marvel’s Avengers and is the faithful pet of Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. So, could there be a connection here?

Ryan Reynolds and Stray Kids Could Collaborate in Deadpool 3

In 2021, Stray Kids actually wowed fans with a Deadpool-themed performance on Mnet’s ‘Kingdom: Legendary War’ show. Since then, rumors have swirled about Ryan Reynolds and Stray Kids’ leader Bang Chan becoming friends (as reported by Koreaboo).

Recently, both Reynolds and co-star Hugh Jackman were in Korea to promote their film. According to All K Pop, the stars filmed a content with the band members while visiting Seoul.

The interesting thing is: Back in 2022, when a fan tweeted that the K-pop band could record a song for a Marvel movie (like the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine), fans noticed Reynolds liked that tweet.

This means he really liked that idea. However, this could turn into reality as well, since Reynolds is also a producer of the Marvel flick. It has also hyped up when an account claiming to be Miss Minutes, an AI character from the Loki series, asked for song recommendations, specifically mentioning Stray Kids.

This is interesting because the Loki series involves the Time Variance Authority (TVA), which is also rumored to play a big part in Deadpool 3. Adding to the excitement is that Reynolds responded to the Miss Minutes post.

With all these connections, fans are speculating that Stray Kids might contribute music to the Deadpool & Wolverine movie.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to release on July 26, 2024.
