Suicide Squad Director Slams Fans Who “Have fun mocking the film”
David Ayer, who is well-known for making movies like End of Watch, Fury, The Tax Collector, and especially his Suicide Squad movie, recently caught the attention of fans by criticizing some of his fans for previously “mocking” his works.
Since a few years ago, DC Universe had seen ups and downs, particularly since the 2016 release of the Suicide Squad.
Even while Suicide Squad was a good commercial smash for DC, the film fell short when it came to receiving positive reviews, with the majority of reviews being unsatisfactory. The movie was released back in 2016, however, there are still several discussions regarding it now.
Fiery Fan Reactions Continue: Many Blame Director’s Cut of Suicide Squad
David Ayer‘s Suicide Squad came in theaters like almost seven long years beofre, and fans continue to discuss it frequently even today.
A few fans may have forgotten about the film’s previous failures, but there are still some who haven’t stopped criticizing it.
Fans predominantly criticized the movie because of its “Director’s Cut” since, after Ayer’s Suicide Squad, which was released in 2016, attracted a lot of hostile reviews, Zack Snyder’s Justice League simply turned the tide with favorable reviews the following year.

This did raise concern among viewers of Ayer’s 2016 movie, about which many viewers claimed that “creativity was coined as the Ayer cut.”
Suicide Squad is one of DC’s lowest-rated movies, with a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of about 58% and an IMDb rating of 5.9 out of 10 based on a total of 705K reviews.

David Ayer Fires Back: Criticizes Fans Still Mocking His Movie to This Day
Critics on Suicide Squad movie had been in discussion for a very long time. However, the movie’s director’s lengthy tweet in response to one of the film’s critics caught everybody’s attention. He shared,
What’s your advice on how to navigate this situation with grace? There’s a genuine curiosity and interest from a lot of people. And I’m aware of there is another group of people that have fun mocking the film. Your comment is a perfect example of how many are magnetically drawn discussion to the 2016 film in a negative way. Have you ever had an experience in life that didn’t until the way you wanted, that dragged you, that made you rethink everything?
I have.
All I know is my unseen film plays much better than the studio release.
The interest in my cut being show seems real and organic. And Gunn told me it would have it’s time to be shared. He absolutely deserves to launch his DC universe without more drama about old projects.In a way I’m chained to this thing. I’m riding a tiger here and navigating this situation the best I can. Life is a very strange journey.
Bright‘s director shared in his tweet by addressing the curiosity of many people who wanted to know what’s his advice on navigating through such a situation with grace. He also addressed the group of fans who had been criticizing his movie.

He also discussed about his so-called “unseen plays,” which the director argued were significantly better than what the studio had released. He even responded to the about his directorial cut, claiming that his his works are “real and organic”.
He even revealed that James Gunn had previously advised him that the time will come for him to show off his true talent in order to turn the situation around.
