After listing his massive property in Los Angeles on the market for a whopping $87.5 million, the net worth of Mark Wahlberg was about to go up. He put up the house on the market in April. It was one of the seventh-largest properties on the market in L.A. County. In December, the actor reduced the price of the estate to $79.5 million.

According to the latest reports, the pop idol-turned-actor sold his Beverly Park compound for $55 million on Friday. He initially bought the property for $8.25 million in 2009 and completed construction in 2014.

The 30,500-square-foot home has 12 bedrooms and 20 baths. It is set on 6.2 acres in North Beverly Park. Wahlberg moved to Nevada after listing his property to create his dream studio.

While speaking with The Talk cohost, Cheryl Underwood, the 51-year-old talked about his dream of building an entertainment and business empire in Las Vegas. He called the project Las Vegas — Hollywood 2.0.

He said, “I moved to Nevada, where after this gubernatorial election, hopefully, it will go to legislation and get a bill passed so we can get tax credit for the state, and build a state-of-the-art studio here and make this Hollywood 2.0.”

Marky Mark has been a visioner person and his vision for Vegas is not doubted. He has confessed to building a studio as well as a shoe factory, and a factory for Municipal.

He said, “We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s a lot of opportunity here. I’m really excited about the future.”

Although his dream is great, the Uncharted star has put himself in excruciating loss after selling his LA house for such a low price. His desperation to leave Hollywood has led him to take a rash decision.
