No matter what you think about multi-billionaire Elon Musk, one thing is certain: the eccentric entrepreneur is never too shy about sharing opinions, whether they are around space travel through his SpaceX venture, the COVID-19 lockdowns that he wished to defy to get his Tesla factory running, or human beings are living in a simulation.

Elon Musk had recently shared a new opinion on something that many never thought he would approach: Egypt’s pyramids and who actually built them.

Musk shared this in a tweet recently, one that has many people talking, including the travel ministry of Egypt and many people across the globe who actually believe in the Ancient Astronaut theories and Ancient Aliens that have become really popular in recent years.

Was Elon Musk joking, or was he being serious as usual?

While this is still for you to decide, the big question is whether Musk will “put his money where his mouth is,” so to speak, and know more about what’s actually happening in Egypt about the most exhilarating structures and who built them.

After the controversial tweet, the minister of international cooperation, Egypt, Rania A. Al Mashat tweeted, inviting Elon Musk to visit Egypt to explore and learn more about pyramids and who built them as per the mainstream archaeological opinion.

“I follow your work with a lot of admiration. I invite you & Space X to explore the writings about how the pyramids were built and also to check out the tombs of the pyramid builders,” she tweeted Saturday according to a report from USA Today. “Mr. Musk, we are waiting for you.”

Musk is yet to respond to the offer and looking at his Twitter account, one knows why: he’s busy with many space-related projects, including a launch of SpaceX’s Starship SN5 on August 4.

In a recent video posted on his Twitter on August 3, Musk had the following to say:

“I think what this heralds really is, fundamentally, a new era in space flight, a new era in space exploration, where we’re going to go to the moon…we’re going to have a base on the moon, we’re going to send people to Mars and make life multi-planetary.

“And I think this day heralds a new day of space exploration…That’s what it’s all about.”

With enough on his plate, it’s quite understandable why Musk hasn’t responded to the invitation yet.
