“That makes little to no sense”: Netflix is Turning One of its Most Hated Shows into a Video Game and There’s Nothing You Can Do to Stop it
Darren Star, starring Lily Collins, is the creator of Netflix’s romantic-comedy drama series Emily in Paris. The actress portrays the character Emily Cooper, an aspiring marketing executive who moves to Paris to provide an American point of view to the French marketing firm. The series follows Emily as she faces a lot of ups and downs in her personal and professional life, trying to make it through in the best possible way.
The show also stars Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Lucien Laviscount, and more. Upon its premiere on the streaming platform, where the Americans responded with positive reactions, the French audience did not like the way Parisians and the French were portrayed on the show. The show’s fourth season will reportedly premiere in two parts: August and September. But there is a new update on the show, which has disappointed the fans.
Netflix’s Emily in Paris starring Lily Collins to be made into a video game
According to Netflix’s Tudum, a video game based on Lily Collins starring Emily in Paris is in the works. The publication shared the official synopsis of the game, which read,
Moving from the United States to Paris to accept a job at an esteemed fashion magazine, you quickly discover that the City of Love is full of surprises, challenges, and stunning suitors. With the help of Emily, Mindy, Alfie, and Gabriel, you’ll explore the romantic capital and aim to find yourself in the process.
The synopsis ends with a question: ‘Will you take every opportunity to land your dream job and follow your heart?’ Apart from Emily in Paris, Netflix announced 13 more upcoming games that are based on the content that’s available on the streaming platform, including Too Hot to Handle, Selling Sunset, and Perfect Match.

Fans are not thrilled with the idea of converting Emily in Paris into a video game, as a lot of people don’t like the way American tourists are portrayed on the show, adding that it’s filled with clichés and made-for-Instagram moments. According to The Things, fans dislike that Emily Cooper, as a character, is not very likable or realistic, and they took to their social media to share their views on the video game being developed.

A user noted, ‘That makes little to no sense,’ while another mentioned, ‘Netflix is just doing anything now’. An X user added that the announcement has been the most random thing they have seen today, while a third user wrote that no one’s going to play the video game.
Emily in Paris first pictures from Season 4 send fans into a frenzy
Collider reports that the highly anticipated season four of Emily in Paris will be split into two 5-episode parts, with the first part premiering on August 15 and the second part premiering in September. The report also noted that production on the upcoming season was halted due to Ashley Park, who plays Mindy on the show, suffering a health emergency. Following the dramatic season three finale, the cast spoke to People magazine about what they expect from their characters in the upcoming season. Collins said,
Thank God there is a season 4. Because going into this finale thinking that we get to finish those cliffhangers would be a gift. And if we didn’t get that, I think we all would’ve had panic attacks.
The actress revealed in 2023 that her character was headed for a Roman holiday, adding that what she can share is that the narrative will include much more fun, more fashion, and, of course, a lot of drama. She shared that during TUDUM fan event (Via ETonline),
Emily is going to have to decide if everything she’s ever wanted is really what she needs, and while Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.

The much-awaited first pictures from season four have now revealed that the marketing executive is yet to decide where her heart lies. The season will pick up from the aftermath of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, and the synopsis reads:
She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed.
The pictures showcase Emily in her element wearing chic outfits alongside, with her undeniable chemistry with Gabriel giving fans hope that they might finally get what they have been dreaming about. Emily is also seen with Aflie, which has now raised more eyebrows and fans cannot wait for the season. A lot of fans praised Collins’ outfits in the newly released pictures.
