‘That Sh*t Hurt, Motherf**ker’: Chris Rock Says Will Smith Oscars Slap Doesn’t Make Him a Victim, Trolls Will Smith as ‘Suge Smith’
The slap has been talked about worldwide for quite some time now. When Will Smith walked up to the stage and slapped the comedian Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards, it took the whole world by surprise. In recent news, when co-headlining a comic show, the 57-year-old comic took the opportunity to address the incident that took place at the Oscars.
The Comedian mentioned that “he is not a victim” as he joked about the Men in Black actor.
Chris Rock addresses the Incident
When the 57-year-old comic made a joke about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith at the Academy Awards. The King Richard actor wasn’t able to take it and he marched to the stage and slapped the comic. He reportedly referred to Will Smith as “Suge Smith“. This is believed to be a reference to Suge Knight who was a central figure in Gangsta’s rap commercial success. He jokingly added later that anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face.

When Chris Rock was playing a sketch in the same show later, he said “I’m not a victim motherf**ker, shook that s**t off“. He jokes that he put that thing behind him now. He accepts that it did hurt him and said, “Yeah, that s**t hurt, motherf**ker. But I shook that s**t off and went to work the next day I don’t go to the hospital for a papercut.”
Will Smith has Apologized for his Actions
Will Smith has been married to Jada Smith since 1997. He has described his actions previously at the Awards as “shocking, painful, and inexcusable.” Due to these events, he resigned from the academy awards after issuing an apology.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has also banned Gemini Man actor for 10 years from attending the awards both virtually and in person. He said in an interview, “I betrayed the trust of the Academy.”
