The Flash Faces Heavy Blow as Ezra Miller Starrer Gets Leaked on Twitter With Nearly 2M Viewers Watching for Free
The Flash has already proved to be a box-office bomb with one of the worst opening-day domestic collections. Despite praises by director James Gunn, Hollywood veteran Tom Cruise, Stephen King (author), etc, the film has not been able to live up to the expectations.
And to worsen this further, the whole film got leaked on Twitter recently with nearly 2M views before it was taken down from the platform. With many people watching the film for free, it is undoubtedly going to hurt the film’s box office collection further.
Twitter Leak Worsens The Flash Box-Office Failure
Andy Muschietti directed The Flash starring Ezra Miller has unfortunately failed to live up to the projections of its success. With only 55 million dollars in the domestic collection on the opening day, the film has failed to touch the projected values. Black Adam which made 65 Million dollars on its opening day was considered a flop.
The reason is varied as to why the film performed poorly despite being a popular topic of discussion. However adding to these existing reasons, a recent leak of the whole 2 hours and 24 minutes of the film on Twitter has only worsened the situation regarding the box-office performance. The user @BriYoshFR who allegedly uploaded the whole thing was immediately suspended from the platform and the leaked file has since been taken down.
But before that, nearly 2 Million people already seem to have watched everything for free. This just adds to the box-office failure scenario of The Flash.
The other reason behind the box-office bomb is reportedly Miller’s problematic history over the past couple of years. Another one is possibly the initial leakages of clips from the movie before its release. Furthermore, the whole incomplete and weird VFX work in the beginning scene of the film did not help with bringing a good reception.
A Brief Look At Recently Released The Flash
The Flash starring Ezra Miller follows the Flashpoint storyline. The Scarlett Speedster/ Barry Allen is determined to try and save his mother by going back in time. But this causes multiversal chaos bringing evil figures such as General Zod and his followers into Flash’s life. The main antagonist of the story is the Dark Flash inspired by the character of Black Flash in the comics. Amid all this, the superhero has to set things right.
The Flash is directed by Andy Muschietti and was released on the 16th of June making it the second DC film of the year.
