According to Deadline, the movie is inspired by true events as it shares the story of the first-ever Special Forces organization formed during WWII. Matthew Vaughn had admitted that the actor would make a brilliant Bond adding that he had passed a screen test in 2005. Vaughn said that Cavill’s agency might have stalled his chances at the time, but had he been the right age, he would have secured the role.
