Reportedly, the Brie Larson-led project’s budget is less in comparison to other Marvel movies. Despite making a lot of buzz way before its release, The Marvels box office prediction has become a cause of concern for the billion-dollar superhero franchise.

According to a report by the media outlet The Direct, experts have predicted a low box-office projection for Brie Larson’s The Marvels. As the movie is gradually inching towards its theatrical release, the numbers predicted by the experts do not look good for MCU.
After the great success of Captain Marvel, some experts have predicted a box office collection of $750 million for The Marvels against a budget of $270 million. As Captain Marvel was released between two blockbusters Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, it went on to gross over $1 billion worldwide.
With Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer 2023 saw one of the biggest commercially hit movies. The marketing strategy and word of mouth played a very significant role in the grand success of Barbie. Nowadays word of mouth plays a very crucial role in drawing audiences to the theatres.
According to movie experts if word of mouth goes well with Brie Larson’s The Marvels then there is a strong possibility of a great audience reception which would have a direct positive impact on its box office numbers.
Brie Larson Talks About Her The Marvels Co-star Iman Vellani
During an appearance on a special segment by the media outlet Entertainment Weekly, Brie Larson spoke about The Marvels, her co-stars, and what inspired her to play the character of Captain Marvel. While talking about Iman Vellani, the actor said-
“Iman is the future. She is the perfect Ms. Marvel and the most incredible person and castmate. I’m so excited for her success and I’m so excited to see what she will do with her life because she can do anything she wants. She’s one of my favorite people on this earth.”
Brie Larson believes her co-stars are more talented than her. She mentioned-
“I feel like the big joke is always that you’re being schooled by people younger than you. So I’m sure there are ways that I’ve been able to be of service to her, but also at the same time, she teaches me so much every single day. I’m just grateful for her friendship.”
She also pointed out how Ms. Marvel’s character inspired her to play the character of Captain Marvel. She said-
“A huge part of why I wanted to play Captain Marvel was because of Ms. Marvel and what that meant. To see that character realized by such a brilliant human with so much potential is just a really exciting thing.”
Brie Larson led The Marvels is set to release on November 10, 2023.
