“The movie’s gonna be a**”: Industry Insider Says Amber Heard’s Aquaman 2 Will Fail Despite Epic Trailer
For the DCEU, Aquaman 2 is an important milestone. Before James Gunn reboots the universe with Superman: Legacy in 2025, it might be the final DCEU film we witness. Because of this, and in light of some recent box office duds, Aquaman 2 is under pressure to either successfully conclude the DCEU with an epic finish or fail miserably. The Aquaman 2 trailer has just been out, and it looks amazing. Nevertheless, despite the great trailer, industry insiders continue to have concerns about its success.
The Aquaman 2 trailer is out!
Fans are thrilled after DC recently released the first trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. This film serves as a crucial part of the DC Extended Universe and sees Jason Momoa make a comeback as the aquatic superhero. As the unofficial end of the DCEU, as we now know it, it will also usher in a new era for the DC Universe. Under the direction of James Wan, the sequel to the 2018 movie Aquaman reunites a large portion of the original cast which also includes Amber Heard.
Arthur Curry, played by Jason Momoa, is not only the King of Atlantis but now a parent in the intriguing plot that the trailer teases, picking up four years after the events of the previous film. Black Manta, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, makes a comeback, causing turmoil and risking the lives of Arthur’s dear ones. The underwater hero teams up with his half-brother Orm, portrayed by actor Patrick Wilson, to protect Atlantis and his loved ones. Fans are awaiting the spectacular underwater adventures that Aquaman 2 promises with great anticipation following the release of this trailer. Nevertheless, despite the excellent trailer, some industry experts believe the film is going to fail.
Industry insider’s view upsets Aquaman fans
Fans have been eagerly awaiting Jason Momoa’s return as the renowned underwater superhero Arthur Curry as Aquaman 2 nears its December release. The first trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which Warner Bros. just released, gives viewers a sneak peek at what looks to be an action-packed underwater adventure. Not all responses, however, have been favorable. An industry insider, @CanWeGetToast, tweeted their view saying, “The movie’s gonna be a**.”This comment understandably struck a nerve with fans who hold a special place in their hearts for the aquatic hero.
The movie’s gonna be ass, but I can’t deny that the trailer for #AquamanAndTheLostKingdom goes HARD.
Absolutely LOVING Arthur and Orm’s (sort of) brotherly relationship! Jason Momoa was such inspired casting 🧜♂️

Fans of Aquaman responded to the post, and many of them argued that without first seeing the movie how can someone say that it’s gonna be an a**.

Another fan was enraged and brought up the over $1 billion box office success of the first Aquaman movie.
No one wants to hear you negativity so next time you want to be an ass and say some shit wait till you actually see the movie first. Should have just said the 2nd part and moved on but you couldn’t help yourself. Remember the first movie made over a $1 Billion you ass

If Aquaman 2 will successfully wrap up the present DCEU, only time will tell. However, the trailer is quite promising, and like the first Aquaman movie, it may end up being a huge box-office success.
