Tina Fey Roasts Quentin Tarantino for Fetishizing Women in His Films
Quentin Tarantino is one of the most well-known filmmakers, directors, screenwriters, producers, and actors in Hollywood. In the course of his career, Tarantino has worked on different movies like Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and many more, each of which set high standards for the industry.
While these movies of Tarantino have been loved by many, they have also been criticized for being overly fetishizing female actors. Many critics and fans have also accused the director of showing extreme violence against female characters. Hinting towards the same Tina Fey delivered an unapologetic roast at Quentin Tarantino.
During the opening of the 2013 Golden Globes Award Tina Fey who was co-hosting with Amy Poehler welcomed different celebrities. While Poehler introduced Jennifer Lawarence, Fey took the chance and welcomed Tarantino with a witty comment. Directing towards Tarantino Fey said, “Quentin Tarantino is here, the star of all my se*ual nightmares”.
This comment of Fey not only gained laughter but also sparked a series of discussions on this subject.
Quentin Tarantino Opens Up About Fetishizing Women’s Feet in His Films
Apart from being accused of fetishizing females in his movies, Quentin Tarantino is also said to have a thing for female actors’ feet. In almost all of his movies from Kill Bill to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the director was seen giving more attention to his female actor’s feet.
This habit of the director has been called by people to be a weird obsession. However, talking about this to the GQ Magazine, Tarantino said that he does not care about what people think. Tarantino said to GQ“I don’t take it seriously. There’s a lot of feet in a lot of good directors’ movies. That’s just good direction.”
Adding to this Tarantino further said that many other directors like Luis Bunuel defined the fetishism of a person’s foot before him.
