The Suicide Squad: James Gunn Gives Fans A Closer Look At Belle Reve’s Warning Sign
James Gunn will probably be start working soon on the much anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but that can’t stop him from showing off his DC projects on Instagram.
The writer/director took the social media platform to share a closer look at the warning sign which was present in the Belle Reve prison from the sets of The Suicide Squad.
The film recently became available to buy on DVD, Blu-ray and 4k last month, which gave the director kind of freedom to post A LOT of fun behind the scenes content for the fans online. The Suicide Squad saw criminals go on deadly missions in order to reduce their prison serving time and James Gunn decided to embrace the very concept but digging deep in to the gallery for his raid into the DC Extended Universe.
Belle Reve is located in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana near St.Roach. It is a prison facility used to contain the “metahuman” criminals. It is also used as a base operations for the Task Force X along with Suicide Squad.
The new members of the Suicide Squad include members of Belle Reve like Weasel, Peacemaker, T.D.K and Bloodsport! And thus fans were given quite a good share of the scenes within the facility.
James Gunn took his Instagram to share with the audiences what the Belle Reve prison sign read, which would have been possibly missed by the fans while watching The Suicide Squad.

With The Suicide Squad’s home release, the filmmaker also shared some details of hard the art department decorated the Peacemaker’s cell and also a video of how the team created King Shark’s footprints.
Once James Gunn is done with The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, he will deliver his series Peacemaker, which will be debuting on HBO Max on January 13.
Peacemaker will reunite James Gunn with John Cena who will star in his titular role. The first Peacemaker trailer debuted at the DC FanDome last month and it has got all of us hyped up!
James Gunn has already teased what the fans could expect from the story and he said, “Through the story, you learn where Peacemaker came from, there’s a moment in the film where Bloodsport talks about his father and what his father was like, and you cut to a shot of Peacemaker, and Peacemaker nods. That’s the seed of the entire Peacemaker series.”
