Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s defamation trial was one of the most publicized events in Hollywood. Their trial not only brought a win to the latter’s side but also revealed many shocking details on both ends. Even after it ended, it was still discussed on the fan forums revealing further details that affected the former a lot. This could be one of the major reasons which made the actress move to Europe even when she was not satisfied with the outcome.
The 36-year-old actress after garnering major media attention since the defamation trial came to an end suddenly flew to Spain and is reportedly living a low-key life. Even though her comeback in the second trial is yet to come, it took a major blow to her.
Amber Heard is Reportedly Exhausted With The Defamation Trial
There’s no doubt that the Aquaman star, Amber Heard was in the public’s eye every single minute during the defamation trial. Even though it ended, she kept on making headlines with extremely shocking details that not only affected her career but also her personal life.
Due to the constant limelight that she brought upon her, she was not happy with it. An insider told PEOPLE that “the trial was exhausting for her.”
Due to being under constant surveillance by the media, she was missing “her little girl” Oonagh Paige Heard. So to avoid any unnecessary problems, she moved to Europe for a time being. She even used an alias name, Martha Jane Canary so that she could travel low-key.
Amber Heard is Focused on Raising Her Daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard
The 36-year-old infamous star’s daughter Oonagh Paige Heard was born last year via surrogate in April when she was engaged in a stalemate with her former husband Johnny Depp over the op-ed piece she wrote back in 2018.
As per the insider, Heard “is focused on raising her daughter.”
Due to the constant battle, the Aquaman star was not able to take care of her daughter which is why the insider stated that residing in Europe for the past months has granted her the privilege to “just be a mom there.”
The star as per the insider “spends every day with her girl. They stroll around, visit parks and enjoy family time. Amber is a great mom.”
Even though it’s a good reason for her to spend time in Europe, she has still to pay Depp $10.35m as damages after losing the defamation trial that was concluded in June this year.
Due to the op-ed piece she wrote in The Washington Post claiming herself to be a victim of domestic abuse, Depp had to face the consequences. He then filed a defamation lawsuit and won the same. Heard won one of her three countersuit claims and was awarded $2 million in damages.
