Upsetting Update On Bruce Willis’s Condition
Bruce Willis is suffering from a specific form of dementia which has not only affected his memory but also his ability to walk and talk. As reports from insiders and close relatives suggest, Willis’s worsening condition is taking a toll on his family too.
A distant relative and friend to the Hollywood star spoke candidly of his condition in an interview with the German newspaper BILD. Wilfried Gliem, a cousin of Willis’s mother said that the actor is unable to have “normal conversation” with his family members. Gliem said (via Marca):
“His behavior is very slow, there is always a slight aggressiveness and it is no longer possible to have a normal conversation with him.”
Adding about what Willis’s mother feels about her son’s state, Gliem said: ”She is not sure if her son still recognizes.” Through these upsetting instances, Willis’s family is trying their best.
Bruce Willis’s Battle with Dementia
Bruce Willis’s symptoms of the disease could be sensed years before his actual diagnosis came. During filming one of his projects, people present could tell that there was something off about the star. He was slow to catch whatever was being said to him.
When the doctors were sure of Willis’s disease, his family released a statement to communicate the saddening news. Since then, his family has been trying their best to understand the disease and how to take care of him.
His wife has been keeping in touch with specialists in this disease, who can make her understand her husband’s condition better. As per reports, his family now understands that the likelihood of their days with Willis being numbered is strong. Hence, they spend as much time as they can with him.
Speaking on how Willis’s daughters are taking all this, Gliem told BILD (via Marca):
“Scout and Tallulah are two very strong girls who are now there for their father, just as he used to be there for them.”
The Willis family is proving to be the epitome of love and resilience in such a difficult time. Hopefully, the Pulp Fiction star will get well soon.
