“There is nothing strange, creepy, or inappropriate about him”: Scarlett Johansson Defended John Travolta When ‘Pulp Fiction’ Star Forcefully Kissed Her Amidst Accusations of Being Secretly Gay
The popular Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) actress, Scarlett Johansson is a sweet person even in the real life who once defended John Travolta for his actions when the whole world was criticizing the latter. She is known for her strong personality not just in the MCU but in real life as well. Having said that, she once had what seems to be an awkward encounter with the latter that was not taken nicely by the world. However, she insisted that his action was “totally welcome.”

The 68-year-old John Travolta back in 2015 was under fire for kissing the actress, Scarlett Johansson on her cheek.
She looked slightly surprised as Travolta wrapped his arms around her waist while kissing her cheek. Things got south when he was called out for being a creepy person whose actions were not appropriate.
However the latter defended her former co-star stating that the picture was not able to capture the whole moment that happened back then.
The 37-year-old star had clarified that the awkward red carpet embraced by the former was not inappropriate. In a statement, she shared with the Associated Press[via ABC News], “There is nothing strange, creepy or inappropriate about John Travolta.”
Sharing what he did was a “true class act” she continued,
“The image that is circulating is an unfortunate still-frame from a live-action encounter that was very sweet and totally welcome. That still photo does not reflect what preceded and followed if you see the moment live. Yet another way we are misguided, misinformed, and sensationalized by the 24-hour news cycle.”
She further added that she had not seen the actor in some years and told the outlet, “it is always a pleasure to be greeted by him.”
Both the actors had starred together in the 2004 drama A Love Song for Bobby Long.
John Travolta is Reportedly Gay
According to the reports by Mike Rinder, the former senior executive of the Church of Scientology, the Bolt actor is gay.
In his memoir, A Billion Years: My Escape From a Life in the Highest Ranks of Scientology mentioned that his claims were based upon the fact that he saw the personality kissing a masseur.
He met the actor due to some public relations issues he was assigned to help him with that led him to witness that scene.
“‘I’ll be in soon,’ John said as the masseur headed toward the bedroom. That was pretty shocking, right in front of a senior Scientology official. It was just not done. I guess it was indicative of the trust he placed on me,” he stated.
Rinder also claimed that the evidence of the actor being gay was erased as it would have affected his married life [Travolta was then married to Kelly Preston] and threatened the media outlets with lawsuits.
