Ariana Grande’s appearance has been a topic of concern for her close circle ever since she addressed body-shaming comments in a recent video. The singer’s diet is something her friends are particularly worried about, as they believe she looks really thin and needs to change what she eats.

According to a source from Radar Online, She “has been a vegan for years, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but she seems to have taken it to extremes.” The insider added,

“She subsists on the bare minimum — like smoothies, kale, seeds, nuts, broccoli, and tofu. It’s gotten to the point where her shoulder blades are poking out.”

They also noted, “There’s very little flesh on her figure.” Despite the criticism, Grande posted a 3-minute video suggesting, “I know personally, for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body.”

She stated in her own TikTok.

“I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly, and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my ‘healthy. But that wasn’t my ‘healthy.”

Further, the songwriter disclosed.

“I know I shouldn’t have to explain that. But I do feel like maybe having an openness and some sort of vulnerability here will be something, like, good might come from it.”

The vocalist also pointed out that “Healthy can look different,” on different people and asked fans to have more grace when talking about such topics.

However, it’s not just Grande who has faced body shaming criticism, as other A-list celebrities like Jonah Hill have also had to deal with such backlash.

In the following years, there has been a growing movement towards body positivity and acceptance, yet even A-list celebrities have not been exempt from criticism and shaming. One such example is actor Jonah Hill, who has faced harsh comments and ridicule for his body size over the years.

Despite his fluctuating weight, Hill wants the public to stop focusing on his physique. He shared, “I know you mean well but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body.”

The 39-year-old has had weight fluctuations for different acting roles over the years, fueling gossip and speculation from the public.

However, he has previously been open about his struggles with body image, Hill disclosed, “I don’t think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid-30s even in front of family and friends.” After some years, the actor revealed his acceptance, he said,

“Probably would have happened sooner if my childhood insecurities weren’t exacerbated by years of public mockery about my body by press and interviewers. I’m 37 and finally love and accept myself.”

Supermodel Gigi Hadid has also faced body criticism, with some people accusing her of being too thin and others of being too curvy. Hadid asserts that she loves her body and believes that shamers should mind their own business.

Similarly, Selena Gomez, who grew up in the spotlight, has suffered years of body shaming from fans and haters alike, leading her to seek therapy. Despite the criticism, these celebrities have spoken out and embraced their bodies, setting an example for others to follow.
