During the filming of Rust in 2021, a prop gun containing live bullets accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in the chest before striking director Joel Souza in the clavicle. In light of this, he has been accused of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of the cinematographer, who died after being struck by a bullet from Baldwin’s gun.
Once again, the actor has been the subject of heated debate after his recent Instagram post. The caption underneath the photo he shared of his wife and young son was deemed s*xually suggestive by many social media users.

In his latest Instagram post, The Departed actor posted a picture of his son, Leo, holding his mother, Hilaria Baldwin, by the shoulders. He captioned the post, “The old “let me give you a back rub” ploy. Potato chips to follow.” The actor began receiving negative comments as fans found his caption erotic.
As soon as the 64-year-old actor shared the post on his official Instagram account, fans rushed to leave hilarious comments beneath his post.
One of the followers wrote, “That’s a pretty f–king weird comment to make on a photo of your son and his mother.”
The actor became enraged by the number of negative comments on his post and decided to respond to the trolls.
Rust star hits back at trolls
Since the Golden Globe winner has become the subject of every tabloid frenzy due to the shooting case, which is still being discussed and it has yet to be confirmed if the actor was found guilty of killing his cinematographer, it appears that he must be cautious with every step he takes, especially when everyone is pointing fingers at him.
The Edge actor added, “Potato chips to follow,” in response to the constructive criticism, and said, “I adjusted the text. I guess because…you know…there is so much of that Reddit trash out there.”
Alec Baldwin seems to be annoyed by the trolls misinterpreting the actor’s caption.
