On Monday, Hawkeye star, Jeremy Renner paid a much-appreciated visit to ‌Jimmy Kimmel Live! The 52-year-old actor, who was injured in a snowplow accident, is on the road to recovery. 

He made this most recent appearance just a few days after his taped interview with Diane Sawyer. The Avengers star undoubtedly exhibits significant ABC/Disney synergy, but it could all just be a coincidence. 

During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Renner talked about the reactions of his famous friends, including Chris Evans, to his injuries. They both starred in Marvel movies as co-stars: Renner played Hawkeye, while Evans played Captain America. The Avengers, Infinity War, and Endgame are just a few of the well-known films, in which they have both acted.

The actor also elaborated on his dreadful New Year’s Day collision with a large snow plow that happened close to his home in the Lake Tahoe region of Nevada. He admitted to Kimmel that he was pulled under the massive vehicle and broke “35 or so” bones, but he still feels extremely fortunate.

Why Did Chris Evans Get The Label Of ‘Terrible Actor’ From Jeremy Renner?

Jeremy Renner, who suffered injuries to his chest, arms, and legs in the terrifying snow plow accident, is still recovering. He claimed that he didn’t fully understand the extent of his injuries until he spoke to close friends like Chris Evans (his Marvel co-star).

While speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 52-year-old actor claimed that he wasn’t aware of the extent of his injuries until he began receiving texts and calls from friends. After speaking with Evans, Renner claimed that it was his response that caused him to realize, “Oh, I think I really hurt myself.” 

“[My friends] were terrible actors,” he said with laughter.

“They couldn’t hide the fact that I looked awful.”

He has been working on his recovery and has been informing fans of it via his Instagram account. Currently, he is making public appearances to promote his Disney+ show, Rennervations.

Chris Evans wasn’t the only Marvel co-star to express concern and well wishes for Jeremy Renner’s quick recovery. Paul Rudd, who plays Ant-Man, sent Renner a video while he was in the hospital, which he even shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! 

Rudd joked, “Maybe I’ll get to meet you one day,” while referring to Renner in the video as “Jerry” and acting as if he had no idea who the actor was. 

Renner also revealed that Rudd made a few visits while he was at the hospital.  Along with Evans and Rudd, fellow Avengers stars, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt, who play Thor and Starlord respectively, also posted encouraging messages.

In addition, along with the Russo brothers, who have helmed many Marvel films, Kate Hudson, Isla Fisher, Heidi Klum, Orlando Bloom, Vanessa Hudgens, and other A-listers sent their best wishes.

For the unversed, Renner was struck by a snow plow on January 1, 2023, not far from his home in Nevada. The Ingenious actor was assisting a family member in moving their car by using the snow plow. 

He was admitted to the hospital and stayed there for weeks. Later on, the actor disclosed that the incident had left him with over 30 broken bones and a protracted recovery period.
