Chris Pine’s Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Was Inspired By Jackie Chan’s Movies
Chris Pine’s Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was met with a lukewarm reception by the audience. During an interview with the media outlet Collider, director duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, spoke about the inspiration behind their $150 million project Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Jonathan Goldstein said-
“The other thing we did when we approached the action sequences was, it’s sort of a pet peeve of ours when it’s all very close and quick cuts and you can’t really tell what’s going on. And so, we made the decision to shoot it as wide as we could, which requires more of the actors, the stunt team because you have to really choreograph all those moves because you’re going to actually see it play out.”
Director John Francis Daley even added-
“We drew a lot of inspiration from Jackie Chan, actually, and his films because you can see what he’s doing. You can see the expertise required to pull off some of those stunts, and that was our mandate with our stunt team, our Bulgarians, and they made it sexual but brutal.”

Actor Chris Pine On His Character In Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
Chris Pine portrayed the character of a handsome bard named Edgin who joins the team of super-talented heroes to bring an end to the tyranny of Forge Fitzwilliam, and Red Sorcerers. During an interview with the famous media platform Variety, actor Chris Pine spoke about his character in the movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. He said-
“I love being a bard so much. No preparation. Lots of smiling.”
While hitting back on his co-star Regé-Jean Page’s comment on his character, the actor said-
“It’s a very specific word. For whom I would be horny, don’t know. It’s my best friend, I have an elf and I have, you know — not a lot of horndog stuff happening in this [movie], pal. I think it’s enthusiasm, it’s positivity, [and] it’s party playing.”
Michelle Rodriguez even spoke about her role as Holga. She said-
“I was incredibly uncomfortable at first because it took me seven minutes to use the bathroom, but we got the hang of it and added some zippers. I grew out all my armpit hair, so that’s real – it’s not glued on. So I really felt the part, plus I gained a good 15 pounds of muscle. I’m still having a hard time losing that muscle. I’ve had to add a new size to my wardrobe.”
The star-studded cast of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves includes Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page, and Chris Pine.
