Apart from being a terrific actress, Sandra Bullock is also a very loving mother. In fact, one of the reasons that she retired from acting was to spend more time with her kids. The American actress recently revealed how she dealt with having an infant in one of the toughest periods in her life.

2010 was a confusing year for the Oscar-award-winning actress, Sandra Bullock. The American actress had adopted an infant son with her then-husband, Jesse James. Bullock also won an Oscar award that year for Best Actress for her performance in the movie, Blind Side. A few weeks later, Bullock and James filed for divorce after multiple affairs of the American TV personality came to light.

Earlier this year in an interview, Bullock revealed that it was one of the toughest moments of her life. She said, “How do you process grief and not hurt your child in the process?” She further added, “It’s a newborn, they take on everything you’re feeling. So my obligation was to him and not tainting the first year of his life with my grief.” Therefore, Bullock did not process her grief that year altogether and just continued to be a great mother to her infant son.

The Lost City actress has allegedly taken a break to spend more time with her children

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year, Sandra Bullock revealed her intention to take a break from acting. The actress said that she considers herself lucky to constantly have work. However, she wanted to change that for some time. She said, “I realized it possibly was becoming my crutch. It was like opening up a fridge all the time and looking for something that was never in the fridge.

Although her children are almost teenagers now, Sandra Bullock still wants to raise her children the right way. The Gravity actress is the mother to 2 kids, Louis, 13, and Laila, 11, and raises them with her long-time boyfriend, Bryan Randall.
