Borderlands looks like a James Gunn-directed project, but Eli Roth will surely have added his touch to the project’s visuals. However, with respect to the first teaser, not much can be said about the project. The upcoming trailer is expected to further show the chemistry between the characters and hopefully throw light on the narrative of the Cate Blanchet-led project.
Everything You Need To Know About Eli Roth’s Upcoming Project Borderlands
The Eli Roth-helmed Borderlands features prominent actors from Hollywood including Cate Blanchet as Lilith, Kevin Hart as a former soldier Roland, Jamie Lee Curtis as Scientist Patricia Tannis, Ariana Greenblatt as a young demolitionist Tiny Tina, and Jack Black as the robot Claptrap. During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jamie Lee Curtis spoke about Borderlands. While talking about the project, she mentioned that it’s pretty wacky. She said-
“It’s a little over-the-top, it’s pretty wacky, it’s fun,”
While talking about her character Patricia she further added-
“She has autism. She’s a strange woman who has objected to sexuality, where she falls in love with inanimate objects. [She is] the character that knew Cate Blanchett’s character’s mother, which is why I’m in the movie. I am the connection back to Cate’s early past.”

The official synopsis of Borderlands mentions-
“Lilith, an infamous outlaw with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of the universe’s most powerful S.O.B., Atlas. Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team – Roland, a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina, a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg, Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis, the scientist with a tenuous grip on sanity; and Claptrap, a persistently wiseass robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other.”
Borderlands is executively produced by Erik Feig, Haley Bennett, Bobby Lee, Gina Gershon, Penn Jillette, and Edgar Ramirez. Borderlands is scheduled to be released in the theatres on August 9, 2024.
