“This brother’s got your back”: Rapper Rick Ross Offers Fired CNN Host Don Lemon Fast Food Cook Job at His $7M Wingstop Franchise
Don Lemon was fired by CNN in April 2023 because of his misogynistic comments on the show. Right after, the TV journalist’s career was sinking as a TV presenter and rapper Rick Ross offered him a job opportunity. The rapper heard about Lemon’s recent departure from CNN and he offered him a job at one of his restaurants.
Ross shared on social media that he wants to offer Lemon a job and promised to give him the best job role.

Don Lemon was dismissed by CNN after numerous women spoke out against his misogynistic viewpoint, which he constantly expressed on the show. According to sources, CNN was forced to fire Lemon due to other employees. For the time being, Lemon is not working with any other news outlets, however, Rick Ross has stated that he would like to hire Lemon.
Ross who has collaborated with many famous artists like DJ Khalid says he has a job as a journalist at his Wingstop restaurants. In his story on Instagram, the rapper said,
“Just found out Don Lemon was terminated from CNN. Damn, dawg. But guess what? The brother’s got your back. We’re hiring at Wingstop, and for some reason, I believe you know what you doing with the lemon-pepper wings, so man, just send over your résumé. “I’mma make sure I get you in front of the right grill, brother. Stay solid, brother.”
Lemon has not yet responded to Ross’s offer and he has not made any comments regarding his future career plans as well.
Female Employees asked CNN to pick between Don Lemon and them
Lemon has a history where he has been spotted saying many offensive things against women in the past. He has always been under many controversies but this time CNN took the harsh decision and fired Lemon.
In February 2023, Lemon said on his CNN show The Morning that women above the age of 40 were past their prime. This statement ignited conflict between the females and Lemon. Since then CNN was pressured to take a quick decision against Lemon.
According to sources, female CNN employees requested their bosses to choose between them and Lemon. Because of the very strong reasons presented against the television host, CNN was forced to terminate him. Don also released a statement that said,
“What I said came out wrong and I wish I hadn’t said it. I believe women of any age can do anything they set their minds to. The people I am closest to in this organization are women.”
Lemon spent 17 years with CNN. Many people in the profession, including his fellow journalists, were taken aback by the journalist’s firing. Nobody expected CNN to reach this conclusion.
